Lumbo-Pelvic Strengthening Series

Join Kayla from Capital Hydrotherapy in a new exercise series focusing on Lumbo-Pelvic activation (encompassing Lumbar and Thoracic Spine, Core, Pelvic Floor and Gluteals). Work on each exercise at home and adjust each to suit you best.

Episode One: Back Focus
The Session:

– Prone Superman
– Standing Bent Over Row
– Single Arm Dumbbell Deadlift

Episode Two: Pelvic Floor and Abdominals
The Session:
– Pelvic Floor in Standing
– Spinal Rolls
– Supine Spine Curl
– Supine Knee Lift with TA
– Supine Heel Slide with TA
– Supine Toe Taps with TA
– Curl Up

Episode Three: Hip and Gluteal Focus
The Session:
– Side Lying Clam
– Side Lying Hip Abduction
– Side Lying Hip Circles
– Side Lying Hip Adduction
– Prone Hip Extension
– 4 point kneel Bird Dog
– 4 Point Keel Donkey Kicks

Land based Exercise Physiology sessions are also available (progression after Hydrotherapy); pilates programs, swiss ball programs, and Fall Preventions Programs. EPC and Team Care Arrangements are also available and encouraged (see your GP for referral).

Entitled Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients may be referred for clinically necessary Exercise Physiology treatment by their General Practitioner on a valid D904 referral form.
